so i run into a dw dk 'tank' with two of these, i tell him to get 2 slower harder hitting weapons for better threat he tells me it's his 3rd alt.

An honest question - I want an honest answer.

Are these good for a dual-wielding Orc Death Knight who is over the defense cap (+5 expertise to axes is about ~40 expertise rating for that weapon)?

How does this compare to Peacekeeper Blade for a prot pally? I got this drop tonight and I feel like, especially if you gem the peacekeeper with something like a +20 dodge gem, this axe starts not to look like an obvious upgrade, although I tend to be torn on such things. It gives significantly more overall mitigation mostly via the over 2% increase to block chance, but a slightly lower overall chance of total avoidance assuming a max gem on the peacekeeper through dodge and miss (miss coming from defense), approx 0.30% lower. What has more value!

Axes are rarely seen as tanking weapons nowadays, but it's good this has come up. It's fairly simple to obtain, has good stats, and is on par with most tanking weapons.

Nope, the detail in the middle of the axe is always blurry. I'm running with all video settings maxed and it's still blurry, unlike almost anything else from WotLK.
