Don't let the green tag confuse you... this is a very good chest piece that can be acquired as early as the late 40's. Good rogue chest pieces in this range are very rare and tend to be exceedingly difficult to acquire (Fungus Shroud armor from Maraudon for instance). If you can get some high level friends to help you, you can have this for the 40's bracket, which will give you a nice edge in PvP.

Attack wise it the same as fungus shourd armor.

Only has 2 agl and 5 stam less then the shorud armor

a guildie was doing this quest at 50, i was tagging along, we had a 60 guildie show up to help out and we still wiped once fighting these guys.

but getting those at 40 was the most amazing thing ever

Did this with some guys from my guild tonight, I'm a 43 rogue, so very nice chest piece for that level.

Anyway, little trick, since taking both of these big dragons on at once is a pain, I went up to the pillar with the items, clicked Complete Quest and immediately did a Vanish (might have had time to go stealth, but didn't try) and then we could single pull each of them. Made it a lot more doable.

Yeah, that's funny. Nothing increases the humor value of a joke like the one guy who doesn't get it.

And the armor is very nice. Because of this armor I went to all the trouble of getting strangers to go dragon hunting with me tonight.

I'm a 45 rogue, the other guys were: 50 warrior, 48 warlock & 42 shaman.

We fought the dragons one at a time, and it was a complete cakewalk. Even the tank barely got a scratch.

got it today, must say its a very nice upgrade from the Scorpashi breastplate (17 agi, 8 stam, 4 spirit)

i managed to finish the quest line at lv44 with the help of 3 others (a lv60 for the final 2 lv50 elite dragons), this leather breastplate kicks ass and is eons ahead of anything my rogue can get by loot/AH purchase, very cool

i got this at start of 43 or end of 42, a mate helped me through it. he pretty much solo'd everythng for me and didnt even put his fire resistence kit on. god bless lvl 60 rogues.

and yes, the chest does indeed rock your underpants.

Did this solo on a 44 hunter. At least I would've if a rogue hadn't gotten the aggro off of one of the dragons. I still got the quest done though.

Even at lvl 51, I have not found a better piece of armor, and I did this quest at lvl 45

This is it, it looks excellent with any of the "Swashbuckler's" set, which come in Monkey and Agility form. Excellent combination for level 50ish Rogues, building up to end game sets. Good luck!

I dont see why hunter people pick this as a reward for the quest.

You can buy a tough scorpid breastplate for your hunter from AH for about 2G and its mail, have about 100 AC extra ontop of this plate.

yes,this plate have 8more agi and 5 stamina, but you are better off buying the scorpid breastplate, then take the necklace, as it add spi, sta and int.

Maybe its just your pref but I guess it also because i have a crappy necklace.

=) any recommenation for a lvl 43hunter?

i just finished this quest with a lvl 46 warrior guildie, and a lvl 51 lock that we found to help out. I am a lvl 46 rogue, and the three of us lost terribly the first time, but the second time, we got both of them.. warr aggro`d both, so we had a bit of trouble, but we got it in the end. breastplate is nice, and macthes my shoulders (Cabalist of the Monkey)

I picked this up at a very low lvl with the help of a lvl 70 guildmate. I want to say I was in my low 40s like maybe lvl 42.

It's much like the Raptor Hunter Tunic because you can get the quest way before you should be able to do it, but with help you'll get an awesome chest piece that doesn't have a lvl requirement.

Does anyone know if this is a quest also available to alliance? I am a lvl 46 rogue wanting to get this piece, seeing as how to ge Fungus Shroud Armor you have to kill a rare-spawn in Maraudon. Thanks =D

I equiped stormshroud at lvl 52 (Rogue)and all the good it did was raise my crit chance by 1.39% and drop my dodge by 0.76% and lost all the other goodies that agi adds...even lost 2 seconds of dps on the main hand and one second on the off hand oh and lost a bit of armor too. Blazewind is a keeper till u get a set i think. +23 agi is better than 28 crit strike rating with 12 dodge chance

heh, with help from a lvl 60 most quests are a piece of cake :)

did this a couple hours ago, it was me (46 rogue), aa 45 warrior, a 45 Mage and a 42 Druid. No biggie, of course our tank had one foot in the grave most of the time, but atleast he didn't fall into it ;)

Though, I must say that this makes my equip seem almost like a color set. Helm of Fire, Blazewind Breastplate, stylish red shirt and of course, the red scout tabard.

Im pretty much on fire ;)

Great chest piece (replaced my Jinxed Hoo Doo piece from ZF, good blue, but not for a rogue) this has same armor, but the agility is awesome and to add a bit of stam...even better...
This was second of a 2 part quest (Alliances Broken, horde) Myself (49 rogue) and guildmate (46 hunter) did both...First little quest was easy to kill the Lev 41 Boss...just find him...he travels in counter-clockwise circle from Ogre village to village in SW to middle badlands....if u find them at a village, wait until they start to move out..the Boss always trails the guard group...I then sapped and we finished him easy., got the earth stuff for loot..turn that quest to get the main quest to get the 3 runes (opal, amythyst(sp) and diamond) coords are in other posts and dead on ...watch out for hi-lev dragons...u can run or sneak between them...activate last earth stone ..run out of range and the 2 dragons (51 leets) will spawn and will chase a bit then go back...FIGHT AT THE NORTH end of the stone...up slightly into the mountains away from others...fight one at a time!...I shared some agility and superior armor potions and added poisons and then hunter drew out with bow...they are immune to cheapshot and gurrote and such, so just melee ...when hunter got close, feign death and I took over with ghost strike,ss,ss,ss, gs and expose armor, add evasion in to...when I got close, vanish... gulp a superior heal and finish him off with evis...i also got a 2-3 pt. rupture in to leak him...Rinse, lather, Repeat for the other one..they stun well and it was close to death for both, but.............you have to kill both and loot...if u die they will still be there.. hope this helps...
PS...the infamous Choobie was the hunter...he moved on to RSO on the Archimonde realm
