Have also had this problem but more through my own idiocy than anything else. I was the raid leader, and hadn't set loot to Master Looter before Ramstein. Told everyone to leave the corpse, and did a RTU on the stitching first. Then I proceeded to try and assign the stitching through the ML system that wasn't running and looted it myself. I feel pretty rotten for doing it, since I know how it looks to everyone else and has probably earned me a spot in a few blacklists. These should definitely cause a BoP reminder for looting, to avoid stupidity and ninja looting.

Found this doing a 5 man run about an hour ago and have no clue what its for. I read the comments about epic quests but..what classes? Anyone?

There is a q in ubrs with awbee's scale just follow this one and u will get to the point u want for mail leggings or a plate chest.

Ya the breastplate req 10.. but these guys respawn kinda fast, ask your grp if u can't go back just a bit while u are doing your Baron/sc run and farm 2 aboms.. most grps wouldn't have a problem with that. Got 3 from 1 run today. 7 to go

ive seen five drop on one strat raid, least ive seen drop are 3

Since 1.8 I reckon the droprate of these must have gone up - I see on average 3-4 per run, sometimes higher but never less than 2 since 1.8

Before then, it was 1 per run if you were lucky - now all they need to do is make the Pristine Hide more common ;-)

Anyone got the Breastplate? I have never seen anyone with it. It is nice, but it is far more easyer to get the Nightslayer Chestpiece for a rogue.

I have been on 3 UDStrath raids today and 4-5 of these dropped per raid. One thing that bugs me is people being secrative about quests. I didnt know what these were for and when I asked all I got was "you dont know dont ask" reply. Which is their way of saying, MINE MINE MINE...nyah nyah..
Oh well I know what these are for and I will get the quest from UBRS tomorrow probably so I can be a greedy little bastard too.

The stitchings are needed for a quest that starts in UBRS arena, from some guy on a ledge. Well at least thats why i need them.Thottbot is for sharing info.

Does this drop in both part of strath or only the baron part?

These are starting to drop a lot less since 1.10 was brought in. I have done about 10 runs since, and you are lucky if 1 drops every 2-3 runs. Getting a lot harder to get them, so make sure you work out exactly who needs them at the start of the run, so idiots who will "need them when I get all the other mats up" don't take them first.

Probably the easiest part of the quest for the Chromatic Breastplate.

In UBRS, theres 10 people (twice the usual noobs) who will roll on scales when they dont even know what theyre for. Count the people rolling just to sell them, and youre in for some Sm farming and AH camping.

I wont even talk about the Carapace. Sweet Jesus.

Blood of Heroes is probably the next easiest. Seems difficult at first, but download the maps off the net and farm around the PL for a few days- youll be set.

Of course, the stitchings- Since UDStrath was made a 5man, its only 4 competitors to roll against. The stitchings are BOP, so you can count out all the people rolling just to sell. On lots of runs, people just want their class gear and arent worried about these; my last two runs, I had no competition- 3 dropped each time :)

I got 3 last night and this night I only got 1..

I hoped to get 2, since that is all im missing for the chromatic beastplate.. but no no.. of course there only dropped one

...but I will...I already ninja-ed the skin of shadow by accident (was going to give it to my leather working Boyfriend who had a recipie for it but it also had no bop warning.) so I must as well get these and then hopefully will eventually get the quest (from the silithus drop) so I can turn the lot in for rep. At least if you don't need these things for recipies you can turn them in for rep. ;)
But yeah, sorry I didn't know what the little green thing was till I rolled a 96 then asked "wait what we rolling for?"
wonder why you have to collect things from SO far away from the quest giver? :S

im a hunter and absolutely don't need them.. got 2 on my last strat run and noone else in the grop needed them either... feel bad tossing them after reading this

On average I would say 2 drop per run. You be the judge.

4 runs for me and 4 stitchings from Ramstein only, I have made 6 runs total and the first run Pre 1.12 patch 4 dropped of coarse I didnt know what they were then. So they must have took the stitchings out of the drop list for the Horrors & abominations.

My experience in classic with 10 UD strat runs where I was actually paying attention to the stitch count:

10% chance of 3 stitches
40% chance of 2 stitches
40% chance of 1 stitch
10% chance of 0 stitches

Of course when I only needed one more, I got three. That’s the wow classic experience in a nutshell.
