Total kills, not just quest kills.

Anyone not on the quest killing them will log kills but not drops. So the drop rate is a useless number.

If possible, they should set it up so it only looks at kills for people who have the quest.

I killed 3 toxic horrors and got 3 droplets no biggie, th ehardgest part is fighting everybody else for the same thing

As 56 warlock it took like 5 minutes. Got them in 5 kills. The only thing that kept me waiting was another player killing them..

when i ran this, there were 4-5 CGFs in the area, so that would explain the exceptionally low reported drop rate. had to kill 6 to get the 3 drops

Droprate is around 80% I think... not around 5% :S

It's drops very fast but the problem is they are farming essence of water there so you got to be fast to kill one :-)

Omg, this is insane! i've been farming these elementals, at the lake in Irontree woods for half an hour now. And no droplets has droped! are u guys sure that this isn't bugged?

What's wrong with this game? I slayed like 100 elementals, and none droped. And then, when i was about to leave, i killed one and he droped it! Then i killed 2 more and both droped

The last poster is wrong, the Toxic Horrors do indeed exist but they're pullable one at a time, they're not in mobs. Just like the quest text says, they're in Irontree Woods in Felwood, towards the middle of the area near the green slime lake. They're all around it and on the islands in the middle, and if you don't see any they respawn in and around 5 minutes.

Drop rate is random; I've done this quest on 2 toons now, one got the 3 items in 4 kills, the other took about 20 kills. Good luck all, not too bad of a quest at all.

Had to give up the quest cause i spent about 2 hours killing them , not a single drop

First run, 3 kills and I got 3 droplets. 2 weeks later on different toon, killed 16 and nothing.... I am guessing there is a bug. I am going to abandon and try again i guess.

This quest seems to be somewhat bugged. The first time I received this quest, I didn't do it right away. Later on when I attempted to complete it, I cleared every single Water Elemental that could drop it near the Ancients about 3 to 4 times and I got 0 Droplets.

The second time around, I abandoned the quest, picked it back up again and went right to Felwood to try again. This time, I got the 3 Droplets in about 5 kills. Between the 2 times I was in Felwood, I also logged off my character at some point. I can't pinpoint which of these fixed the problem exactly, but I thought I'd share what I did in case anyone else encounters the same issue and is looking for a solution.
