This drops where that jerk Malor is. I've done the quest at least five times and haven't received the reward. I hate this grrr

My question is when you hand in the medallion this guy is supposed to come help during the Baron fight (5man obviously). If you lose, do you have to return to live-side and retrieve another medallion?

I gave it to him in a 5-man tonight and he didn't come help at the baron, though server disconnects may have affected that. I'm still wondering how exactly to get the reward, and if I even can now.

After killing the baron, when Aurius sacrificed the ring is a questreward. Simply "loot" Aurius.
Ensure you had the medallion given to him just after entering east-side ;) Then everything should be ok - even in a raid-group

Yes, everyone in the raid gets credit. Once someone turns it in, Aurius will appear in the fight against the baron. He will die no matter what and if your level is high enough (56 I think) you should be able to talk to him and recieve the reward.

If you wipe at the baron, this guy will NOT respawn.

I'm in the Alliance ... i got this item .. but i see the quest is for Hordes... what should i do .. should i sell in AH in Gadgetzan or is there a quest for Alliance where i can use this ?

What happens, if I turn it in, never get to Baron before group breaks up? Will I have to get a new Medallion?

The Medallion of Faith is located in a small, non-traditional chest in one of the rooms about halfway through SM Strathome. I believe there is a miniboss in the room, who rarely drops anything.

Whats funny, is I think I have received the Medallion more than once, or perhaps I am confusing it with a quest on the UD side.

This is found in Malors strong box in the SC strat side, when you enter their fortress place he is the first boss in there before you get to the 2 doors that lead to the different bosses, he is on the left as you go down the hallway. his name is Malor the Zealous he drops NOTHING so don't kill him for loot but in the right upper corner of his room is this chest with the medallion. I'm probably gonna save this for when i get almost to the baron in a UD strat and run back to turn it in, in any case don't let someone in your group say its useless cause it does have use :) gl have fun

Does it matter if I give it to him right away, or should I wait until we're at Baron so he doesn't run in pulling aggro?

You turn it in to him just as u enter UD side at the little church on the right(East side). He does not come with you though. He just shows up during the baron fight. He is nice extra DPS on him and can make the difference in the battle. Just be sure to keep your tank, priest and mage alive for the fight!
Also the holy water kills the waves of skeletons. That and your mage should keep your priest alive and healthy.

I find the ideal group is;
Mage- counterspell and AOE
Priest- Shackle pulls and healing
Warrior- Tank
Pally- back-up heals and UD holy attacks
For the final member u can use many classes, but I feel the best is ranged DPS and DOTs from a Lock or a hunter.
Just my favorite mix, u may have sucess with another mix, but the medallion of faith is a nice plus at the final battle.

Just a note -

The medallion isn't tagged as quest/lore/bop/unique or anything, so you can pick it up without being on any quest, and can trade it around as well.
