Rarespawn patroling at hoggars place. I've killed hoggar 500 times (at least), never saw this guy before.

I was killing Outrunners for HOURS and this didn't drop! And I've nver seen this Gruff guy...

The Quest starts with a possible random drop of the item "Gold Pickup Schedule". See the above information as to which mobs drop the item. If you are after Hogger, you might run across Gruff Swiftbite as you do (he is the 80% chance of a drop).

If you click on the link in the gray box above (which is the tool tip of the "Gold Pickup Schedule" in your bag), the Allakhazam link takes you to a page which has the following information:

Go to Marshal Dughan in Goldshire and give him The Collector's Schedule

Game Description:
This note is a schedule with a list of days and times when a person -- described only as "The Collector" -- will receive a shipment of gold from the mines in Elwynn Forest.

From the schedule, it looks as if the Collector resides near the Brackwell Pumpkin Patch in eastern Elwynn.

This sounds important. You should report it to Marshal Dughan in Goldshire.

This thing's drop rate is incredibly low but I can 100% confirm it exists. Dropped for me yesterday on live classic server after ~200 kills.Keep trying fellow completionists!

Now dropping in Classic. Had group of 4 of us farming regular gnolls for half our, 2 of us got the quest drop. Does not seem like bad drop rate anymore. Never saw that rare. Killed hogger a few times but nothing off him.

The quest is working in WOW Classic. I was looking very long time for Gruff Swiftbite, but cant find it even with target macro, so I decide to kill Riverpaw runt and finally drop it!

Killed Hogger twice, and the regular gnolls for about 45 minutes.

Randomly came across Gruff and sure enough he dropped this.

The area northwest of Stonecairn Lake (67,40) is godsend for higher level players that want to farm this for whatever reason. There's no low level players around and you probably get to farm the camps alone. I killed 77 Outrunners and 29 Runts before I got mine. Happy farming.

Got it from Riverpaw outrunner at the north of Stonecairn Lake after killing 30-40 gnolls.
