By far the easiest of the 3 Essences to get hold of, 3rd kill and there it was, nice place to farm at levels 50 to 54, you get felcloth among other things.

The percentage is low because it accounts for EVERY legashi killed, not just those when on this quest

Reason for the drop rate to be .2% is because only people on the warlock quest can get the drop. Real drop is much higher, I'd assume 5-15% lowest.

I got mine off a Hellcaller at loc 51,19.

Dropped first time for me, I think the reason the percentage is so low is because people kill the NPCs for other reasons, but the item only drops for warlocks on the quest.

I grinded in the Legash Encampment for about an hour... I killed Legashi Hellcallers, Legashi Rogues, and Legashi Satyrs.

Finally got the fel essence to drop from a Rogue.

Trust me, I'm not complaining! It was a great grinding session!

Got a ton of felcloth and rune cloth.
There was a chest for me to loot in the centre of the ruins. I got 3x demonic runes. I had a few high lvl green items drop. There was even a rich thorium vein in the nearby hills!

Since there aren't that many Legashi dudes to kill in the area, I'd suggest making a grinding session out of it!

The quest states that the Flawless Fel Essence can be obtained from:

- Legashi Satyrs of Azshara
- Jaedenar legionnaires of Jaedenar
- Felguard Sentries of the Blasted Lands

I focused some time on killing JUST the Legashi Satyrs (as opposed to the rogues and hellcallers) and it wasn't until I killed a hellcaller that attacked me that I got the drop.

I found my piece of the flawless fel essence on my 10th or so mob.

Note that you have to go to the Legashi Camp in Azshara for this piece.

The quest itself is called Flawless Fel Essence and is class-specific to warlocks.

The location 51,19 is where I found the Legashi camp, as others did too :)

Do not look at the drop rate cause it is wrong. I got the essence after about 5mins (which was half way through clearing one of the camps for the second time).

I just got mine on the 2cd drop from a Legashi Rogue coors are 50,18. Lot easier than the one from Felwood.

The drop rate is exceptionally low on this item because these are the exact mobs that gold farmers level 50ish target. Pretty good drops.

Assumably you can get these from any of the Legashi. The essence dropped from the 9th Legashi I killed. Piece of cake as a level 51 lock but I wish I could say that for the part of this quest in Jaedenar.

i was lucky i got this essence on the third drop off a hellcaster and on the second kill in the dark portal

50 Undead lock here,

Had a few extra soul shards so i decided to enslave a satyr, grabbed it and told him to attack a hellcaller. He soloed it and i just drained soul for the kill and bam! I got the felcloth i needed for the other quest that never dropped in Felwood -.- and got the essence at the same time, it was great. As i hear, i think i was pretty lucky. =D

the centre of the camp is at around 51, 19 in Azhara. The essence dropped on my 9th kill. The satyrs also drop demonic runes and felcloths.

Farmed the legashi's for an hour and no fel essence.. and had to compete with gold farmers too since they're popular targets for them :|.

On my server there are literally groups camping the Legashi spawns. I got the drop on the second Legashi that I killed, but it still took me awhile to even tag one of the satyrs before someone else got to him.

well you have to understand that it only drops if you have the quest... so the stats are correct but it shouldn't be long before you get yours ;)

I picked up the essence off a Hellcaller after killing about a dozen Legashi. Nice Felcloth drops, too. The Legashi are spaced out quite nicely for grinding so I didn't have to contend with adds.

I killed 1 Legashi Satyr and it dropped Flawless Fel essence, killed 1 more and it dropped Felcloth for An imp's request:D

I've must been very lucky since I've got every Essence on my first kill in Azshara, Jaednar and Blasted Lands :)

Assuming your in the right place killing the right mobs, the drop rate is in the 30% area, it is so low in stats because most people are NOT on the warlock quest.

So if your a warlock on thios quest it should not take too long once you get the right mobs.

Not a horrible drop rate. I got it in less than 10 kills. Obviously the rate is skewed on wowhead by the people killing them who are not on the quest.
