it gives you quests to fulfil kinda like the ones for silithus. Except a lot more brutal.

I have one right now that wants 20 major healing pots.
Another one that wants 40 stonescale eels
Another that wants 30 eletric eels

In response to the above poster that inquired about the reward:

Completing one of the writs gives either 1 Insignia of the Crusade or 1 Insignia of the Dawn. (Clicking the links will give you an idea of what kind of writs are out there).

These in turn can be cashed in for either Superior Armaments of the Dawn or Epic Armaments of the Dawn. The higher your reputation with Argent Dawn, the fewer insignias that are required to be turned in.

Below is the breakdown of how many insignias you must turn in for your reward.

(Superior Armaments)

Friendly 30/30
Honored 20/20
Revered 7/7
Exhalted 6/6

(Epic Armaments)

Friendly 110/110
Honored 75/75
Revered 45/45
Exhalted 27/27

Basically you will have to complete the quest a staggering 60 times to get the Superior reward at friendly while only 14 times at revered. Epic rewards would require completion 220 times at friendly and 54 at exalted.

It's probably best to grind up your Argent Dawn reputation before attempting this series especially if you are seeking the Epic rewards.

its ridilious the amount of time u have to spend trying to complete these quests... and in the end, the epic stuff aint even all that good, only thing decent for a warrior is the neclace but still way too exessive amount of time imo

The writs are a waste of time. I grinded up all the materials for the major mana potion one, then sold them all on the auction house to buy 90 dark iron scraps. Three for the price of one of these.

Bah...I keep getting the stupid Imperial Plate Chest one for some reason (3 out of 4 times now).

Does anyone know if these things will be in Classic? And what are they for? Should i save some Argent Dawn Valor Token for later?
