This thing drops off way more mobs than listed and the drop rate is much higher than listed.

Once you get a quest start item you can't get it again (unless you drop the item and do not start/finish the quest). What this means is people get the book fairly quickly, then keep killing the listed mobs and can never get the item again.

Basically the percents above are meaningless.

This no longer starts a quest, and isn't even vendor trash, as it's BOP with no value. Just takes up a bag slot.

I am a Lvl 60 Rogue in WoW Classic and I'm going through all the zones and doing every quest for completion (using the AllTheThings Addon)

I just want to point out that it took over 200 kills for this to drop for me, but it did drop. I killed all the Nightbane Worgen in Duskwood (The Rotting Orchard... 62, 67)
Now I can finally do my quest, just wanted to let you know that it drops but its super rare. I think I farmed for about 30 to 45 minutes if you need a time estimate.

WoW Season of Discovery Phase 2, SPriest lvl 35.
After killing:
Nightbane Dark Runner 130 times
Nightbane Worgen 45 times
Nightbane Shadow Weaver 71 times
Fenros (Worgen rare) 1
247 mobs in total.
IT FINALLY DROPS OMG, 2 hours of farming (or even more, idk, help) I'm finally free.
