A had a drop only from Thaunderers at Twin Colossals in Feralas
While been trying in other places had no luck but 5 Thunderers dropped 3 Livers for me in 3 min )))

If you need the low level apes, I found a fairly reliable spot where 2-3 spawn. In the High Wilderness along the eastern ridge of the mountains, one is just south of the Gordunni camp area by a large tree. If you stay on the ridge and continue to the southernmost camp of Gordunni there are 2 more groddoc spawns. It seems to help if you clear out bears to speed up respawns.

The drop rate from Singe Groddoc isnt that bad, I killed 6 or 8 of them close to the Yeti cave. the ones from the escort quest didnt drop it for me.
