Ironically, that was one of the first things I fished. I then just started to play, was learning my way around the world. I had just learned fishing, didn't practice it in Dun Morogh, and on my first trip to Stormwind I decided to cast a few in the moat by the entrance. I thought then fishing was a boring way to procure some measily food, but on my 3rd or 4th successful cast, I pulled out this gem, as a sign of the treasures of fishing to come.

Bloated Mud Snapper is only one of several types of bloated fish. These fish are commonly found at the new fishing spots introduced in the patch. I've made many catches at the floating wreckage, and the occassional catch at the firefin/blackmouth spots.

Bloated fish, in general, tend to have gems inside. You also have a chance to find a magical ring or necklace.

Bloated fish have only been available since the recent fishing changes, so don't let the drop rate fool you. You can find quite a few if you stick to the special fishing spots.

I had a moss agate too from one in TB... I believe I had a 197 skill

i caught one of these from the loch with 125 fishing skill. when i opened it up it had a tigers eye inside.

catched one in darnassus with ~127 skill, was a moss agate inside :)
