Patch 5.2: Isle of Thunder Content Guide
2013-03-08 à 11:40
Île du Tonnerre
is a new zone in 5.2 that is the location of a server-wide War Effort, new factions, and daily quests. However, there's a lot of vanity-related content as well, for players that dislike dailies.
This guide aims to cover the basics of completing your new dailies, but also to highlight all the other things you can do on the island. Since you access more content as you progress through the War Effort, we've also pointed out what things you can do now, and what things you'll have to wait a few weeks on.
Unlike factions tied to MoP's launch, the factions on the
Île du Tonnerre
are not tied to getting raid-quality gear or unlocking dailies for other factions. While you can complete twelve dailies a day, it's possible to have fun on
Île du Tonnerre
without doing any dailies and simply enjoying the other content, such as killing rare spawns, getting <Name> Stormbreaker for completing achievements, and farming troll transmog gear.
Isle of Thunder Preview: PvE and PvP Dailies, Troll Transmog, Single-Player Scenarios
2013-02-14 à 09:46
The 5.2 PTR is up to testing Stage 2 of the Isle of Thunder questing! We last previewed it during Stage 0, so there are some new things available such as the option to choose between PvE and PvP dailies, single-player scenarios tied to each phase, and the addition of troll-themed drops like
Cage lugubre de lieur de loa
from Zandalari mobs.
PvE or PvP Daily Quests
Offensive du Kirin Tor
Assaut des Saccage-Soleil
let you choose between PvE and PvP dailies from a battle map near your respective faction leader. The following Quest UI pops up:
PvE quests send you to various areas around the zone to battle the Mogu, Trolls, and Saurok--which we've previewed here, along with quirky things like dps buffs and disguises.
As for PvP quests, accepting any of these quests will flag you for PvP, even on a PvE realm. These quests send you into the heart of the enemy's base and while none of them specifically ask you to kill enemy players, you'll definitely be running into them as you kill enemy g
5.2 PTR: All Season 11 PvP Gear Available, Ghostcrawler on T15 Set Bonuses
2013-01-12 à 11:27
Vendors selling all Season 11 Cataclysm PvP gear have been added to the PTR! This has been something hybrid players have been wanting in MoP for both PvP twinking and transmog reasons, since some items like
Robe du gladiateur cataclysmique en étoffe lunaire
were removed in MoP. Only straight DPS classes on live can finish their S11 sets.
PvP vendors and items tend to get shuffled around a lot each season, so here's a list of who is currently selling what on the PTR:
in the Dalaran sewers and
in Gadgetzan sell ilvl 352 S9 Vicious, ilvl 371 S10 Ruthless, and ilvl 390 S11 Cataclysmic armor sets and accessories.
