September 28, 2016
Within 2 days of
Mythic Emerald Nightmare opening
, the
World First Mythic Xavius
was already claimed! Congratulations again to
Exorsus
on the lightning fast progression!
Later the same day,
Method
got World 2nd and
Serenity
, World 3rd.

Lords of War part 5, Maraad
is released! Lords of War, a animated lore mini-series talking about the lore of several prominent characters in Warlords of Draenor, started talking about 4 Orc Warchiefs (Kargath, Grommash, Durotan and Kilrogg), and ends talking about Vindicator Maraad, who has faced all these warchiefs.
Maraad is voiced by Crispin Freeman, also known as Winston in Overwatch.

September 25, 2012 - Mists of Pandaria launch
Mists of Pandaria is officially live! Players started exploring the ancient realm of Pandaria, shrouded in mists since the great sundering, for more than ten thousand years. Highlights of the launch include:
New Race: Pandaren
- Playable by both Horde and Alliance, Pandaren start their adventure in
L’île Vagabonde
, making the choice of which faction they want to play at the end of ther adventure there.
New Class: Monk
- These fast-paced leather wearers are able to play all roles in WoW: Brewmasters are tanks, Mistweavers are healers, and Windwalkers are DPS.
Pet Battles
- Level your companions, capture new ones in the wild, and battle them out against other players, Pokémon style.

Black Market Auction House

Madame Goya
scours the world in the search of priceless artifacts, and sells them to the highest bidder. On the Black Market, you can buy ultra rare items such as retired Tier 3 armor, mounts that are no longer obtainable, and exclusive weapon transmogs! Just make sure you win the bidding war.
Treasures of Pandaria
- Mists of Pandaria is the first expansion to include multiple treasures in every zone, and have achievements attached to them. In Pandaria, eventually finding all the treasures gives you the title .

Mogu'shan Vaults is open!
A week after the release of Mists, the first raid is open. An entry level raid, MSV has 6 bosses and dropped no tier, those being limited to the world boss

Notable drops for Mogu'shan Vaults included asian-themed transmogs, and
Elegon
having celestial themed weapons, and himself as a rare mount drop with

Flexible raid lockouts are announced!
The current system for lockouts has been announced to arrive in the Cataclysm pre-patch. With this system, you were able to freely swap between 10 and 25 man difficulties as you only needed 1 boss kill to count towards your completion of the instance. This was first implemented for
Citadelle de la Couronne de glace

Le sanctum Rubis
, and expanded to all non-heroic raids.
This system has eventually evolved to what we have today, where we can kill bosses as many times as we want on non-Mythic difficulties, with 1 chance for loot every week, and Mythic still locking you out once you kill a boss.

On the same day, Blizzard released a preview of the upcoming
new secondary profession in Cataclysm, Archaeology
! The archaeological factions Explorer's League (Alliance) and The Reliquary (Horde) are competing to see who finds the most historical finds and enlisting the aid of players to reach their objective. The profession includes tools and a book to check out which artifacts you've uncovered, and is full of cosmetic rares such as
