Due to popular demand (and a few shady back-alley deals in Stormwind’s Old Town), the Alliance bike built for Azeroth Choppers will be rumbling its way to a vendor in Azeroth sometime after the launch of Warlords of Draenor. This mount will cost a pretty hefty sum of gold, however, so you might want to start saving up now if you want to ride around in style on this masterful machine. As a reminder, once the winning Horde Chopper is added to the game, it will be available for free to players who log in between now and September 30, 2014.
Remember, only characters of the associated faction will be able to ride each bike, so buyer beware!
Pleasantly surprised that the Alliance bike will be purchasable with in-game gold, as opposed to appearing in the cash shop. Nice.
I can't say I'm surprised to see the Alliance bike appear -- after all, Blizzard did add Gilnean horses to counter the goblin choppers when it was pointed out that the Horde had an unfair advantage in mount count. After that fiasco, how could they not do something to counter the "We give Horde more stuff" complaints? But, now they've given Horde something for free that Alliance will now be charged massive sums for -- once again giving the Horde an advantage.Ugh...
what has me wondering is how this will affect the Mount collector achievement.will both choppers count for the achievement? in that case people who main as Horde would be in a disadvantage.unless you got an alliance alt with a whole bunch of gold on it. since the alliance will be getting the Horde one for free, and got the gold on the correct faction to buy the other one.also some of those misconceptions are just plain stupid, annoys me so much when people turn.we will aim to do X into: X is promised!
I agree, I knew they would somehow incorporate both bikes in game but am glad to see it for in-game gold :) My hubby wondered though if you play a horde toon, get the horde bike for free ... if you faction change do you get the alliance version (as with a few other faction specific mounts)?
That's a bit silly, why go through the trouble of running a contest where only one will win to just put both in anyway. Sure you have to buy it but that's not really fair as it only caters to kids that sit at the AH 24/7 while the horde get it for free. Then if i want it to count toward the mount achievement I've got to level an Alliance toon and either Open AH him the coin or grind it out myself. GG Blizzard, you fail yet again.
Slightly disappointed that the garrisons can't be moved to different zones and the NPCs are no longer nameable. But other than that, I'm still excited as heck for this expansion.
Not all that excited about the Alliance mount, super stoked for the Horde one though.I love how people are 'reading between the lines' to come to conclusions that don't exist, every since the announcement of WoD I have been looking forward to it more than any other expansion. I started playing at the end of WotLK, grinding levels as hard and as fast as I could just to raid ICC before Cata dropped. I was highly disappointed with Cata how raiding was utterly decimated because people couldn't handle it, I mean Magmaw had some 31 mil health for a first boss in a raid and it got dropped and the raiding nerfed cause it 'was too hard'. I went on hiatus at the for the last 6 months of Cata and was loving everything I was reading about MoP, I sill love it despite the 11 90's that I have. In closing all I can say is I am looking forward to this so much and I can't wait to play the final product that is presented to us by Blizzard, keep up the good work.P.S. That includes Wowhead, loving being able to be kept up to date with all the Blue Tweets and everything else that you guys got going on, Thank You.
The results of a publicity stunt do not preclude the other mount also being made available at no cost.
I think 30k - 70k
And still no pizza in game lol(despite the emote /pizza. I kept asking anyways at least once a month if someone could :) )
Only thing I have issue with is 4 dungeons before max level? I don't have the number here but that seems much lower than any expac before now. Especially for 9 levels.
Honestly I'm happy to see the appearance of the alliance bike. Having watched Azeroth Choppers I saw how hard the alliance team worked. Personally I see this as a 'tip of the cap' to that team for there hard work. While I voted for the horde bike, I am happy with how this alliance bike looks. Hopefully they can fix the tank tracks but hey, that's something to work on for the future, after all they haven't made anything like that in WoW so it is unexplored territory. Keep up the fantastic work Blizz and Wowhead!
