I don't disagree.
I want them to make older zones scale, but I really wouldn't want them to be 1-110.

In EK/Kalimdor, group the lower level zones together and have them scale to 1-15, group mid-level zones and have them scale from 15-40, then the high level zones would be 40-60.

It really wouldn't make sense for a brand new character to be able to just go to to a place like Burning Steppes or Blasted Lands and quest there right away. So I think the low level starting zone areas + their following zones (Westfall, Darkshore, Loch Modan, Bloodmyst, Northern Barrens, Silverpine, Ghostlands, Azshara) being required before you can progress to later zones makes the most sense. Then you'd need to progress for a bit through mid-level zones first until you can finally go into the high level zones.

The scaling would give you a much wider range of different zones you can go to for leveling (something EK/Kalimdor were already very good at, making it even better.) It would also allow better freedom to just stay in the zone you're already in instead of feeling like you should abandon it halfway through and move on. You'll have to do that once you reach Lv. 15 and Lv. 40, but I'd say that's not nearly as bad as having to do it every 5 levels.

Once you'd reach Lv. 60, zones would stop scaling and you'd need to move on to Outland, where every zone would scale from 60-70. Then when you get to 70, Northrend zones would scale from 70-80, then Cata zones scaling from 80-85, and Pandaria 85-90. Draenor would be 90-100, then you get into Broken Isles with everything scaling from 100-110.

I wouldn't really like having everything scale from 1 to 110 cause like I said, it wouldn't make sense. But we could scale every zone within each 'continent' for every level of that expansion, that way you still have to follow a certain path, but you are given a lot more freedom in which zones you want to do and in what order when you reach a new expansion. And it'd allow you to go back to old content for pet battling, archaeology, etc without having to worry about mobs.

EA introduced scaling into SWTOR. It was greeted with derision by some in the community. Mostly it was hated by max level players who were not happy about being scaled down in areas that gave lowbies less of an advantage in pvp.

Their mechanic made it so that each zone still had a minimum requirement to go there but your level would effectively be the max for the quest mobs. For example, in Ashenvale, the level recommendations are 20-25, so you would need to be 20 to be effective there and you continue to level but once you hit 25 you start to be scaled. You still gain xp and loot appropriate to your level up but the content can't be steamrolled.

As someone who enjoys being max level and going back to old zones for leisure activities I can sympathize with not wanting any changes. I would however welcome such a change as it makes it harder for higher level characters to harass lower level ones by repeatedly killing them or quest givers.

If you have problems soloing stuff on your shaman, obviously you are doing something wrong.
I didn't have to group up for any quests / rares for ages as elemental shaman.

"You'll basically never be done with order resources because of Artifact knowledge research."

.."yay"... I was really looking forward to being done with resources/oil. I know it's a tiny, tiny part of the game, and I don't think I've ever been looking forward to an expansion as much as Legion, but I still get triggered by that word, lol. And it's another expansion of it and work order management.

I wish I could find out where I saw it, but I'm pretty sure I've read over the last month or so that Timewalking was going "on hiatus" for a while after Legion launch, along with all bonus events.

As I recall they said that all bonus events - Timewalking, Battlegrounds, Pet Training - would be turned off for the first month of Legion so that people could focus on experiencing the new content, and would spin up again afterwards.

He's saying only the Apexis weekend wil be turned off, not the other weekend events such as Timewalking, correct?

no -holiday weekends will be turned off for the first few weeks of legion. Blizzard said this months ago

Well, I hope they at least wait until until the Legion launch. My wife is looking forward to acquiring her Ironbound Wraithcharger during the Lich King Timewalking in August, and she will not be happy if forced to wait possibly months more to get it because someone decided that shouldn't be important to her at that time.

I personally enjoy all the dailies MoP had , but that's just my opinion.

As did I. The complaint was that at the start, one rep was needed to unlock another, that was needed for high level gear. They changed this all in a patch, and there were no complaints any more.

Q: Could one of the bonus weekend events give bonuses to world quests?
A: Yes, great idea, let's do it. Replaces Apexis weekend, but those weekend will be turned off for a while at launch.

Correct. World Quest weekend will replace Apexis weekend. It's a one for one swap. That's all he said, but we really don't know what's happening with all the others yet.

It's been calrified on Twitter.
ALL weekend events will be turned off when legion launches so we can focus on levelling and gearing up artifact etc.

Yes, but we were talking about what happens after they turn them back on.
