Who else remembers chimereon? /range 6 perfect spread for 25 players. if any overlap one shots occured. room was so tight for this that it was literally impossible without a range radar. who's ready for having "more fun" without being able to check your range!(and this is me complaining as a raider not the addon author. Even if I weren't the author the idea of raiding without /range is utterly silly. Star auger is going to be SO much more fun on mythic without a radar /facepalm)
What about healers and their range detection? it's real simple for a healer to say "You're out of range" because their addon (Healbot / Vuhdoo / Clique) etc had a setting to detect such things. Does this break that feature as well in a dungeon / raid?
I like Watcher, I like listening to him talk, like, there are many people out there who come out pretty boring or bland when interviewed, but Watcher's quite good in answering questions and comes out as an interesting, intelligent person, regardless of whether I agree or not. Thing is, in life, we have to accept difference of opinion, game designer or not. And given the stakes about some controversial issues out there, one would think game design disagreements should be the easy ones... but they are not, for some reason.
Just woke up to read this, and at first I thought Slootbag was new kind of *!@#ty Loot Crate, I was expecting them to reveal some fancy thongs XD. I forgot it is the dudes name :P Hee-hee.
When they say "later in the afternoon Pacific time" what do they mean? They are aware that there are different time zones than America right?. Does this mean that EU will also be release at 12:01 AM on their time? It grates me a little that the question was asked and it was not specifically answered.
Don't be surprised when we end up with "default" telegraphs all over our screens, because there is no other way to design the fight without players knowing the range of spread.Think Mythic Iskar chains, but everywhere.
Any chance he could give the release date for EU in an EU time zone? does this mean we wont be getting it until its the 31st here or what?
As far as I remember, previous expansions launched on the same date, at midnight for the region's "main" time zone (Pacific for US, CET for EU) and hence EU launched earlier, while US got .X patches a day early. Google (in German: Gööglingsteinhausen) still says Legion releases on August 30th. Probably just a weird phrasing (Disclaimer: I'm going by the transcript, can't watch the video at work)
