Good to see they are getting shut down finally. I've known about them for a long time. A couple of years back or so, I came across a thread talking about them and about how the most recent (back then) ban wave had finally started really noticing the ones using the HonorBuddy program and had banned a bunch of them.Of course the people using the program went to their buddy forums to cry about it and the creator responded by saying they would work on it so Blizzard wouldn't catch them again. So would seem Blizzard has gotten much better at catching them now, to the point where HonorBuddy can't keep up no matter how much they update their program to try to make it so their customers can't be tracked. Good on Blizzard!
Really? You don't fault a newspaper or say they condone the stuff they put up in there do you? This is news and wowhead posts news about our favorite game. I assume they put it up here to show that Blizz has won against the makers of those bots. That they are actually doing something against all the botters and that reporting them does pay off and cheating doesn't. As for what they put up. It's an official statement from the bot makers. You can't cut and paste that to suit your needs. You share the entire statement, wether you agree with it or not. I for one didn't know this existed. I don't look into bots or things like that. I do take the time to report when I see a flying horse in a no fly zone and thanks to this news I see that it's not a waste of time to do so.
Never heard of it so what exactly does this addon do to make it ban worthy?
Where are people getting any sort of hint that Wowhead somehow condones such behaviour in the first place - they are simply carrying the news, which is basically one of the key features of the site.
I'm going to say this.I'm blown away by the number of people who are getting butt hurt by this post......
I think blizz just bought this company wich will now work on the AI-npc's from next expansion ;)
NICE FINNALY NO MORE botters on every zone every single new expansion THANKS GODS
"This is the day, World of Warcraft has died. All that't left now, are the last remaining gold farmers, a few decent legits, some elitist asshats, and the Blizzard team."From their forum. Really, such dramatism and thinking so highly of themselves aren't good for health.
Goodbye you wont be missed.
Sounds alot like someone is QQing :-)
I didn't read all the comments, but all the ones I skimmed I saw no one in favor of this, lol. Those scummers act like its sad, hahahaha pizz off cheaters.
I'm kind of surprised they're closing shop. I guess it's harder to maintain a foothold in this particular game.
