Granted there are differences in the circumstances. It's interesting to see how naive she is.

Idk about you, but since day one of WoW I've wanted to burn down that stupid tree. Could they have imprisoned the night elves first? Sure but how many Horde would die attempting to do that. Think of WW2, with the US using atomic bombs. Not good but it saved a lot of other lives in the process. Also maybe the night elves should have used some their magic to make their tree fireproof. Kind of a big weakness when one match can destroy your entire city lol.

Sylvanas has definitely gone off the deep end but at least she's not racist like Garrosh was. Raising the dead Horde as zombies wasn't cool but at least she isn't killing horde members. I still think she is a cool character, but maybe she shouldn't be leader of the entire Horde.

Also Saurfang would be a terrible leader. He was too weak to kill Malfurion. His twisted sense of honor will only weaken the Horde as a whole. Maybe Anduin is good and is okay with the Horde but a lot of the other Alliance leaders aren't and will kill us the moment they can

Baine literally backstabs the Horde so he deserves what he gets. He is a terrible Tauren leader. The only reason he is leader is because his Dad was leader before him. Hopefully he isn't killed off but if he is, oh well.

But regardless I'm enjoying the story. I'll be along for the ride. I mean, I can understand people having a thing for the big bad, and even rooting for them in a story. But I get the feeling that a lot of people take what Sylvanas is doing in this expansion as a good thing, and that it is a very good thing to want to be part of a faction that is willing to kill everyone, even their own people for the 'greater good'.

I think many players either have some deep seated issues, or may want to take a step back. There is no honor in loyalty to dishonorable. And ORC should understand this better than anyone.

It's interesting how Nazgrim treated this matter. When horde player engaged him in Siege of Orgrimmar raid, he said something like "I see my honor in being loyal to my leader, even if I do not approve his actions. I, however, understand, that your honor does not allow you to follow leader whose actions you consider dishonorable. We both, therefore, act out of our honor, even if it places us on different sides, and therefore it would be honor for me to fight you, no matter who wins."

This was reply of a true orc. And Geyarah reply disappointed me. Maybe she does not want to risk her position in the Horde so soon after being accepted... but is there honor in THAT?

The Europeans killed thousands of natives in their colonization conquests.

but of course, sylvanas only committed a genocide, burning/destruction of a world tree, blighting/killing/raising her own troops, full on ignoring the dying planet to keep mining azerite and start a world war, plans to genocide the stormwind humans and raise them, planned to enslave Eyir for herself and anger Odyn which would risk the war against the legion, making deals with Helya, using old god knaifu, continuous use of the Blight that not only destroys life, but the planet itself ... and on and on and on we can go. But hey, thank god she isn't a racist~
