Isn't chaos opposite to order ?
toad loa huh
heres an interesting thought... im really interested to see what you all think of this.Preface: In the majority of rpg rule kits evil is defined as tending towards ending life or aiding in the suffering of others albeit emotional or physical and good tends toward the protection of life and aiding the happiness of others. This is from the point of view of a living being on Azeroth... which is what the Life Domain: Chaotic Good - prefers not to take life and abides by internal compassDisorder Domian: Chaotic Evil - prefers to take life and abides by internal compass these two are pretty easy to pin... the trick is the chaotic part which is all about thinking of self over others... the burning crusade had a personal objective of destroying all life other then itself... classic CE. The life domain similarly has a personal goal of creating as much life as possible. these two oppose each other almost point for point.Death Domain: Lawful Evil - prefers to take life and follows a set of established rules or a codeOrder Domain: Lawful Good - prefers not to take life and follows a set of established rules or a code Both domains have a controlled and measurable approach. This can be seen in the titans very clearly, any contravention must be "purged" ie shadow realm mucking about... same goes for death, if the light is messing around it goes against the rules and that must be dealt with. The death domain is clearly evil (remember evil is not bad it is just on the death side of life) as they grow on the ending of life but some may argue why is order good? they will protect life but only life they deem fit to live within their code... basically the whole story line of BFA and half of wrath.Light Domian: Lawful Neutral - not concerned with anything other then the continuation/success of an established rule or codeShadow Domain: Lawful Neutral - not concerned with anything other then the continuation/success of an established rule or code Think about the argus story line and how crazed and fanatical the narru xe'ra was. we have many examples of the shadow domain doing this but that is because we align ourselves with the light... usually storywise. The light does not align with us;however, it simply offers its power to further it's dominance in the battle field, whether we use it to take life or end it it matters not... the message is: Use the Light. Same goes for shadow. remember good aligned priests can use both shadow and light... much like we can use combustion or electricity to power a car.
that one should realy be made in to a poster, heck I would buy it.
one minor correction, the Great Dark Beyond is the Warcraft version of space, The Twisting Nether is the Immaterium
I LOVE WARCRAFT!
PYRO NEEDS TO BREAK THIS DOWN!
This is amazingly done!
The whole idea of "The Chronicles was written from a Titan's perspective" ist complete nonsense! Chronicles contains lots of stories that happen without Titans around. That statement is just the poor try to fit in the bad writing that followed The Chronicles.
First of all, really beautiful work from the artist. :)Still, I personally prefer the "traditional" version, has more of a ...enigmatic quality to it.@Archimtiros:Thanks for that cool article, quite a lot of interesting points. Two things though... The Twisting Nether is not quite "outer space" or can be seen as fabric of all cosmology, in my opionion. While I agree that the definition of the Twisting Nether has been nebulous, that which we as real world humans call "space" or "universe" is called "The Great Dark Beyond" in Warcraft, as far as I know. The Twisting Nether seems to be more of a weird, parralel, abnormal kind of space, as an addition to "normal" space. For me, it fills a similar role as things like "Hyperspace" in SciFi.Second,
I did a chart like this but mine is just scribbles on a notepad. The only real difference is I put disorder in red for Revendreth, not the fel colour. the rest are the same. This however is a work of art.
Wanna have a big Poster or a mousepad of it in the CE
The plane of fire (or whatever it is) should be opposed by water, not earth. And air/earth, not air/water.
Decent job, bit messy for my taste and I'd always go back to the original. Which has been a while on my desktop for quick reference (not as background :p).Still kudos to the creator for making it more flashy.
If i were to look at the 6 factions making up World of Warcraft. In a "home world" are we to assume Death - Shadowland. Emerald dream - life. Fel/burning legion - Argus. Titans - Azeroth. What would the home world of base be of light and void? Is this a stay tuned moment? Pretty much at least 2 more expansions before wow has exhausted all possible lore and possible story arcs? Do we get to explore the twisting nether as well, or is that kinda off limits? It's great to see that chart again, although I don't recall seeing a shadowlands on it maybe this was recently added, and thus light and shadow will have something added as well?
Soo.. from what type of element/power does the "Nightmare" come from?
Absolutely gorgeous! *-*
I loved it, very well made!
