This is really awesome, I always enjoyed guiding players through the game. I love how newcomers can see an icon on top of a player and identify if they're a guide or not. It really clears things for the players that are looking for an advice or some kind of guidance from another player. Before, there was some kind of barrier between the new players and the older, experienced players, 'cause not everyone wants to guide people, some people want to mind their business, some want to help, this really makes everything a lot easier for both parties. This is definitely one of the more exciting features in Shadowlands/pre-patch. Can't wait to try this feature out!
I signed up to be a guide. Hopefully I can help :D
Did they really have to make THAT the New Player icon? Pass.
Whatever their question may be, I will always respond with the correct answer, about where to find mankriks wife :)
Newcomer chat will be just another way for d*ckheads to spam their boost advertisement. Same as the LFG tool.
I'm glad new people won't need to suffer in Trade chat anymore.
Is this guide system accountwide like if I do apply with my main, do my twinks have automaticly this guide active?
Where is Mankrik's wife?111!ONE!(This feature will turn into the next Barrens chat.)
If you become a guide on one toon, do you become a guide on all toons?Even if they have not met the requirements on others.
But what if your undead and like to eat Murlocs?
i like the look of the guide system, maybe i'll join it with my MAIN,which is 3/12 mythic nya and ilvl 476(before pre-patch),having a BIS gear/corruption setup, and over 1,5k raider io,because i love the idea of helping new players,as it brings back memories of the time i started playing wow in legion pre-patch when i was still 9 years old :) as then,i still made a lot of mistakes, and i want to help new people so they don't need to live through the great mistakes i made during Legion :)
I hope there will be severe punishments for ads on this chat channel or this will just become the "boost and guild recruit" channel very quickly.
Just trying this out and can't move the chat to a new window. Bug or feature?
I wonder when the newcomer icon will go away. When you reach level 60? Or maybe with a certain amount of playtime?
is it bad i had all of them done?but i love this,my guild is known for helping players step into m+ and raids and even pvp, so this is a nice helping tool to do more of that :)
