Spec distribution is good at +15 keys and that is all that matters.
Yeah melee, range and tank Druid. BUT DONT WORRY YOU HAVE RESTO
Since when where classes ever balanced in a pre patch? Let’s judge it properly by the end of December.
I get that most player never reach those high keys but if you want to you have to use certain specs otherwise you won't even be considered.specs like survival have it worse. cause in bfa they at least had the pvp but with the nerfs to hunter pets they are going to suffer even more. so no m+, no pvp, and no raid. I'm sure if you work 400% harder than others you might be relevant for a short time but it will pass very quickly.unfortunately it's obvious that devs favor some classes and specs more than other.hunter, shaman and warlocks usually get the short end, at least warlock, this xpac, did get some love and shaman some work done(not even remotely enough) while hunter just got worse and worse each build.
Why even care about this data. This data is all for level 50s. Unless you plan to grind M+ and get all your rankings in 2 weeks before SL hits it really only matters how these classes perform at level 60.
I want to put this here - I think dps from different classes are very well balanced, in a way. I don't think they are balanced so that at the same ilvl, each dps spec is doing the same amount of damage. The reason it can't be like that is opportunity cost - some class (like druids) can choose to play another spec, some don't. However, it is also wrong to make a balance druid always deal less damage than a frost mage just because the druid can heal or tank while the mage can't. So a good compromise is, without tweaking the highest damage a dps spec can deal, to change how hard it is (or how much rng it requires) for a spec to reach that highest dps (or range) anyone can deal. One of the ways to achieve this is to limit the combinations of gears of a spec to reach that best range of dps; e.g. if you want to be a godlike balance druid, you have to grind to a specific custom set to have a very specific number of secondary stats; but for frost mages the gear allowance window is much bigger to reach the same dps, or the gears that fulfill that are generally easier to drop. This is why at a population level, you will see more frost mages as high m+ runners rather than balance druids. In that sense, I think they are doing a pretty good job in balancing the specs. There are certainly room to improve, but considering the massive amount of data they need to process to balance this many specs, I'd give them a 8/10.
