Gotta love the new expansion greens. It has 0 defense stat but this may be one of the 1st weapons I'll be picking up to tank with. You have no idea how many times I've run heroic Mech and came out empty handed. :| Same goes for the chess event.

What is the significant advantage that the Coldstone Cutlass has over this that makes up for 24 Expertise? Both swords have the same ilevel, Stam, and AP. Is a higher swing speed that much more powerful and costly in terms of ilevel budgets?

This will last you a long time as a tank till Ragemane's Flipper quest so a good get early on.

This sword dual-wields nicely with it's speedy cousin the Lobstrock Slicer from Borean Tundra. Got both swords for my Hunter and enchanted them with Exceptional Agility.

Does anyone find this item's DPS unusually high in comparison to other weapons? On my DK, it is dealing 85% of the white damage my Cragthumper does. This is with the 4% bonus to two-handed weapons that is afforded to blood death knights.

The damage is so high that i can equip an outland quest green (45 dps before attack power) and easily top the white damage of Cragthumper.

While i am aware that the special attacks of my death knight would be greatly diminished is strength due to the speed of dual wielding. I am also aware that there is an additional miss chance caused by dual wielding. Despite this, I find that if one were to wield another northrend 1h weapon of similar damage, it would be grossly more than a single two-handed (in white damage) even though the item levels are identical.

Finally, by dual wielding two such weapons, you could have two runeforging enchants instead of just one, further increasing damage. As such, it is quite possible that dual wielding these is not only comparable, but better than wielding a single 2h weapon.
