Clarifications, vérifié sur Wow classic

ce n'est pas une amélioration avec une durée (comme Intelligence des arcanes)
c'est une aura
vous devez garder le bâton équipé, sinon l'aura disparait pour vous et les membres du groupe

L'objet n'a de sens que si vous allez vous battre avec, puisque le bonus d'intelligence ne subsiste qu'en gardant l'objet équipé.
Ce n'est pas un moyen d'avoir un buff de raid supplémentaire.

A priori, cela n'a aucun intéret :

Si vous avez un équipement PVP de seigneur de guerre
Si vous avez ou allez vous équiper en raid MC/BWL/AQ/etc.

Most would say that this weapon is ideally suited to Warlocks, due to it's +Stamina. But it is suited for any class that is capable of holding staves. High dps and stamina buff is good for elemental Shamans. Spirit and Stamina good for Mages and Priests. And the Intellect buff would be welcomed by all.

An ace looking weapon too.

As a Mage who has already received one in his WoW career, I would say I'd rather it go to a Warlock than a Mage, but if there isn't one, it's free-for-all to whatever caster that needs it. :)

Hello!

I do have a question about this item. Does the buff given from it fade after death? I see that the Headmaster's Charge's buff has a 10 minute cooldown. It would seem that unless I am either incorrect or the cooldown resets after death, you would be short quite a few int points. I can imagine this being a horrible pain in the Battlegrounds....

Hey Malgrumm, unfortunately the buff does disappear upon death, and you have to wait for the cooldown timer before rebuffing.

But hey, it's only 10 minutes max that you have to wait :D

this staff amkes for an excelent warlock weapon because of it high stamina. slap a +30 spellpower enchant on it and you will be good to go for a while. The Intelect buff lasts for fifteen minutes total and has a cooldown of 10 minutes so it is a bit of a pain to keep an eye on but dont worry the mana users in your party will be sure to remind you if you ever forget to rebuff it =D

I picked this up as a druid(pre MC) shortly after it was added to the game. It was a nice support staff for beginner raiders, especially for caster/healer groups in MC, ZG, etc.

This weapon should automatically be defaulted to a warlock. The intellect buff increase pet's intellect, but even more over comes with 30 stamina which is essential to any warlock's arsenal. This staff looks amazing. Int+ buff benefits all nearby group members.

"A Mage does not need stamina, they only need int and +damage gear so they can nuke harder" -- magmy. im sorry magmy, but have you played a mage? we die unbelieveably fast because of lack of stamina, im a lvl 60 mage and have about 3k hp. there are 60 warlocks that have 4.5k hp running around and you say this should go to a warlock for the stam? i dont think so. this is an excellent staff for ANY caster.

This staff dropped for me last night alone with the hand cannon it was awarded to a druid who was using HWL staff. My shaman only has the staff of magefire, needless to say i was upset. This staff is sweet and definitely good for many classes.

I have this staff on my Warlock alt, and it's fantastic. Fairly easy to get, drops off Darkmaster Gandling in Scholomance. The stats are buff are absolutely amazing in any group. It also buffs my pets Intelligence so it is very useful for a Warlock.

One downside is when you have the buff on and die, you don't rez with the buff and cooldown doesn't restart. Besides that, excellent weapon for pre-MC and BWL.

The staff is great for any caster. I had it on my warlock for a long time but I would not have been upset had the priest, mage, or druid in my group rolled for it because it works well for all of us. I get a slight bonus for having demonic embrace to make stamina worth a bit more than other classes. Raiding guilds love having this staff and everyone was sad the day I replaced it with a higher DPS staff. By putting +30 spell power on it it made a great all around staff for my lock while doing MC.

Disenchanted into 2 x Nexus Crystal.

This staff is good because of the huge amount of stamina, and therefore should go to a warlock. A mage would prefer a staff with intellect.

but, this staff also gives +20spirit(useless for lock) and +20int(circumstational). just the point that it gives high stamina it never should be more of a lock item. personaly, i preffer high +spelldmg gear over high stat gear(i'm pve oriented) for my mage, but a stat-oriented mage should never be judged for rolling need side by side with warlock for this staff.

Soloed Scholo today (feral druid), and this dropped! Not exactly very useful anymore, but quite lucky -- definitely not gonna vendor it! It's a shame Bringer of Death looks just like it.

This dropped for me one night and my bags were full, I was only caster (rogue, hunter, warrior x2)...as i was searching for something to destroy the hunter loots it (was on FFA...leader forgot to turn it off when we were clearing trash)

I got this staff today on my 70 mage after soloing scholo, it does stack with AI, but as soon as you unequip the weapon the buff fades:(

Im a 70 druid and today (6/10/08) i decieded id look cool in dreadmist so i whent to scholo to farm the head and sholders. second time i killed Darkmaster he droped this staff... now i have s sick staff to go with a sick set of gear woot.

Have been farming Scholo for a little while and didn't know that this dropped from Gandling til a few days ago. Since I'm farming the place anyways - if this drops I will actually keep it and use it for pve raids. Nothing wrong with a little extra mana and crit.

Don't see any reason why people who raid wouldn't mind giving up a bag slot to carry this around. I know I would. I hope it drops for me. I'm sure my other party members wouldn't mind the buff either :-)

Just got this to drop as a rogue farming the D1 set... I was extremely suprised when I saw it, and it feels terrible that I haven't seen the D1 rogue head drop in 14 kills but I've seen a really rare epic staff drop...

Just sharing my story here as it really feels wrong for me to get it as a rogue, but it will have a permanent spot in my bank for its rarity anyhow.

To clarify, I am solo farming Gandling and I would never take this over someone that could use it. :)

Valschic's post mentions that when the staff is unequipped the buff is lost. So unless your raid is super cool with you toting this around in place of something with 200-300 spell damage or 400-500 healing...

Such a cool weapon... need a warrior to post a screenshot of them dual-wielding this with a group of warlock's crying in the background (used to be the ultimate staff for warlocks given the high stamina)

Low drop rate, but Scholomance is easy to farm at level 70 solo. You may also want to try to get Alanna's Embrace, which drops from Ras Frostwhisper while your at it.

Found this on my first Scholo run on my level 80 paladin. Ran through pretty quickly - Didn't know the droprate was so low. I also found the Sawbones shirt on the run too.
I think I've got a streak of luck today, 'cause i found the Blackblade of Shahram in UBRS but lost it to a hunter, meh.

I JUST GOT THIS TODAY ON MY WARLOCK! i didnt even think i would get it! but it dropped! WOOT! :) its amazing for locks! the buff only lasts 15 minutes....as opposed to it lasting until staff de-equipped. everyone in my guild is jealous XD

As of the Cataclysm, this item now requires level 40 to wield. As for Scholomance, it's level 40, too. This weapon dropped on my Warlock after 6 runs :)

So, from what i've seen this is a low ranked staff for the fire mage "Weight" in item comparison, but when put against any other staff, and "enchanted" with 22 intellect, the staff beats most i put against it. I know it's 2 int over, but against the brightwood staff, the 22 int is the difference between a rating of 2900, and 4000 0.0

Won this yesterday on my lvl43 mage. I was only castor in group other than heals and he passed on it..so i had no issue rolling need on it...as it was nice upgrade for me.

However....for some godforsaken reason....a WARRIOR rolled need on it too! Why? because it's purple? because it looks cool? His own weapon was better already, in the stamina plus of course his weapon had str. Last I heard Wars don't need Intellect..well....maybe in his case..he did need some more intelligence.....

Thank the RNG gods I won the roll. I asked him what in the world was he thinking...and no reply whatsoever...maybe just a jerk ninja.

You will need this item for the Transmog, Devoir du maître de dignité CANNOT be Transmog, keep this in mind if you want this model.

Le Porteur de mort and Bâton de marcheur des ombres can also be used for the same model (Hit models tabs on tops when you like a models for tranmog, so you will see some item of the same models)

They didn't give us some more stamina because we need health, they gave us stamina because they know we can convert that health into mana... ditz

stamina doesn't make spells do any more damage or cost any less mana, so stamina isn't helping you there either.
